Public service workers across the country are losing their foothold in the middle class. So says an article in The New York Times this week that serves as a reminder of why labor unions are more needed now than ever.

The 2018 AFSCME California PEOPLE Convention will be held on March 17th through the 19th,  2018 at the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown Arena – 300 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. 

This biennial convention not only includes official business voted on by delegates, but also a number of workshops, plenary sessions, special guests and legislative lobbying visits. While only delegates are able to vote on officail business, we encourage AFSCME members throughout California to attend as non-delegates and participate in the workshops, plenary sessions and discussions.
